This year I've been busy!

Last Monday I committed genocide... Sorry about that, sliverbutterfly (-5000 points). In May I gave kender a Dutch Oven (-10 points). In July I farted in an elevator (-6 points). In November I donated bone marrow to secretbravo in a life-saving procedure (300 points). In June I set dgf29's puppy on fire (-66 points).

Overall, I've been naughty (-4782 points). For Christmas I deserve a moldy sandwich!

Does this sound like I CAN use Theogony?

Hi Jenn,

If you are comparing a Greek creation myth to a non-Greek creation myth
then it is ok to use the Old Testament. But you can't use the Enuma
elish as a Greek myth, because it is not Greek. The Greek myth
involving creation that you can use is Hesiod's Theogony. You could
also use the fragments of the Orphic Hymn as given in the course pack,
but that is pretty short.

You can't use the internet site you sent me, because that is not a
primary source, it is just some modern retelling of the story.

I mentioned Native creation myths because I didn't know you were using
the Old Testament. The Old Testament is fine, so never mind the comment
about the Native creation myths.

Hope that makes things clear!

No, topic three is not an exception. Choose either a Greek or Roman
creation myth and compare/contrast it to one non-Greek or non-Roman
creation myth. You may refer to the Enuma elish or Kumarbi/Ullikummi
stories, but they are not to be the creation myths that you compare to
the Greek and Roman myths.

Are we allowed to used the Greek creation myth with Nyx, Gaia, and Kronus, ? We spoke breifly of
him and of Pandora, but none into that much detail. If not, could you

You can't use that source because it is just somebody's retelling of
the ancient myth. It isn't the source itself. For example, you have to
use the text of Hesiod itself, you can't use somebody's retold version
of Hesiod.

There are many, many creation myths easy available both in the library
and online. I suggest you consult the book on Native creation stories
that is on reserve for this class in the library, as listed on the
guidelines for the paper.

maybe you are misunderstanding me. I am comparing a greek creation myth with another myth (Christian Old testament). So I must use a different ancient greek myth other than the enuma elish....and this orphic one is the same as the hesiod one?!? I see some similarities but they are different.

I don't get why you said I should look Native creation stories (native americans) when I am looking for a greek creation myth other than the ones we did in class.

So I've been sick the past week. I haven't gone out at all except once or twice since i've come back. no days off, but some things just in the middle of the days.

I haven't been sleeping well the last couple of nights. Been kept up by coughing allll night like til 6AM! and then takin little naps here and there.

Today I noticed that i can't smell anything. My nose isn't blocked and i am breathing fine, so i don't see why i can't smell. I looked it up online and some one called it Anosmia or something like that. And all articles that i read said that there is the possibility that it could be permanent.

going to the doctors tomorrow. and if im up to it school as well. I hope all goes well

MY GIRLFRIENDS LITTLE SISTER

I was happy. My girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and so we decided to get married.

My parents helped us in every way, my friends encouraged me, and my girlfriend? She was a dream! There was only one thing bothering me, very much indeed, and that one thing was her younger sister.

My prospective sister-in-law was twenty years of age, wore tight mini skirts and low cut blouses. She would regularly bend down when near me and I got many a pleasant view of her underwear.

It had to be deliberate. She never did it when she was near anyone else.
One day little sister called and asked me to come over to check the wedding invitations. She was alone when I arrived. She whispered to me that soon I was to be married, and she had feelings and desires for me that she couldn't overcome and didn't really want to overcome.

She told me that she wanted to make love to me just once before I got married and committed my life to her sister. I was in total shock and couldn't say a word.

She said, "I'm going upstairs to my bedroom, and if you want to go ahead with it just come up and get me." I was stunned. I was frozen in shock as I watched her go up the stairs. When she reached the top she pulled down her panties and threw them down the stairs at me.
